Our approach

Bahamas law first. A stronger safety practice every day.

The local legal foundation

The Bahamas’ Health and Safety at Work Act, Chapter 321C, places duties on employers and employees. Safe systems, suitable training, safe access and welfare belong at the heart of the job—not at the bottom of a purchasing list.

OSHA as a complementary benchmark

OSHA best practices offer useful tools for hazard assessment, control measures and PPE programs. OSHA does not automatically have the force of law in The Bahamas; a contract, parent company or project specification may require it. Confirm the requirements for your site and sector.
